Everyone has their own way of dealing with the end of LOST, and with that we will lose some members. But, I believe that there are those who are ready to turn these characters into their own. And I for one, am all ready for that. While, our characters have had a past, I still want for us to be able to dive in and play with that past.
How do you see the in-between of scenes that we saw on screen? Are you ready to twist it up a bit? I know we have ‘canon’, but even canon can be maneuvered into new ways, new views and takes on the characters. You are all here because you are WRITERS. Not, just typist who are here to put into writing what you SAW on the episodes.
What does that mean? Yes, I’m giving you a bit of free liberty to play with things. If your application was approved on DF, then the admins have come to believe you have a handle on said character, and how they would react to new courses set before them.
Much of Destiny Found is a bit AU from the perspective of our various writers. We write in the bits and pieces that we feel the writers of LOST left out. We fill in the blanks. And to some degree, we even dive in to change and alter key events. The key events still happen, but we make them OURS.
That said, so is the sideways world of Destiny Found.
Jack’s plan DID work.
Life turned back for our survivors and the others, never having crashed on the island. Fate has changed, twisting and turning time into it’s own making. Giving everyone a second chance at life.
In fact, thanks to Jack’s plan, there is a DO OVER.
Destiny is lost. The Man in Black takes the body of Locke.
Jacob needs others like him. Jacob needs to protect the island’s heart.
He has to find someone that can do what he can’t.
The Man in Black wants to leave.
So does everyone else on the island.
They all will eventually.
Some already left. Some will leave in the future.
Some will stay on the island. They will have “things to work out.”
But they all will leave eventually.
After all, “Nothing’s forever.”
“It only ends once. Everything else is just progress.”
Everything else is just progress.
The past, the present. All of the moments in between.
And when does the end?
When they remember.
When they remember the people they loved and lost.
When they are able to move on and let go. Together.
When their destiny is found.
Here at Destiny Found LOST does not end. We will keep living the flashbacks, flashforwards, real time, and the sideways. Join us, as we remain a constant tribute to an incredible show!
